Pamela's yoga classes balance classic Hatha poses (asanas) that flow in and out of each other with a mix held postures and a strong focus on breath and meditation techniques. She invites you to listen to your body, breath deeply and move in and out of poses at your own pace. TEACHING STYLES
HATHA FLOW YOGA - A class blending flows with a mix of held postures that will challenge increase flexibility, tone, strengthen and detoxify your body, while releasing stress and tension through proper breath work & meditation. You will leave the class feeling stretched, revitalized, balanced and relaxed from head to toe!
YOGA BASICS - learn the basic principals of Hatha Yoga through posture work, breath management and meditation techniques. Increase your flexibility and body strength while releasing stress and tension. You will leave the class feeling revitalized, balanced and relaxed in body, mind and heart!
CANDLELIGHT YOGA - finish off your hectic day with a relaxing evening yoga class to un-wind & promote relaxation before bedtime. Blending Hatha, Yin and Restorative postures with deep breathing techniques, you will release stress and tension in body and mind preparing you for a good nights rest.
YIN YOGA - targeting joints, tendons and ligaments, poses are held for long periods of time, up to 5 minutes. This encourages the slow and safe opening of connective tissues. Experience an over all lightness, increased flexibility and a grounded, relaxed mind. A great counter balance to more active styles of yoga or other vigourous fitness routines.
RESTORATIVE YOGA - focusing on relaxing and resetting the body, mind and spirit in restful postures through the use of yoga props. Rest provides the body and our nervous system an opportunity to renew and heal; to help lower heart rate and blood pressure. The more the body is supported in poses the deeper the sense of relaxation and surrender to the poses and to yourself.
POWER YOGA - Energize and invigorate your body and mind with this all- levels yoga class. Power Yoga is a vinyasa based practice which increases strength and stamina while promoting detoxification and deep relaxation, challenging you both physically and mentally. Expect to stretch, strengthen and breathe deeply, leaving the class feeling lighter, taller and calmer.
KIDS YOGA - (6 years and older) - A fun, uplifting and grounding class for kids to learn the basic principals of yoga and meditation as well as interacting with each other in fun yoga games, stories and coloring of mandalas.
